Greetings!
Last year Brave New Films made a video about Mother’s Day. You were asked to make a Mother’s Day donation to help Salee Allawe, a nine-year-old Iraqi girl who lost both legs in an air strike in Iraq.
Thanks to the generosity and compassion of people like you, Salee was treated at Shriners Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina. By the time she returned home, she was walking on a new pair of legs.
This year No More Victims produced a video, A Mother’s Day for Rusul, about the true meaning of Mother’s Day and Salee’s sister’s urgent need for medical care. We’re calling upon you to help Rusul, Salee’s seven-year-old sister, who was hurt in the same air strike that took Salee’s legs.
With your help, Rusul will be evacuated from Iraq and flown to Greenville, South Carolina, where she will receive life-changing surgery and prosthetics. When you donate, we will email a Mother’s Day greeting card to your mother, sister, aunt — anyone you designate. It will acknowledge your gift in honor of her for Mother’s Day. A gift that will help Rusul walk again.

Many thanks to all of you who donated to No More Victims last year through Brave New Film’s A Mother’s Day for Peace project. Salee is back home, attending school, and walking on the new pair of legs you helped make possible. You can see a video of her story here.
