In our current state of multiple crises – economy, energy, and monetary – and approaching one of the most important presidential elections in our history, it is critical to keep our heads about how we approach these challenges. Dr. Caldicott’s message to the next President of the United States about nuclear power, nuclear weapons, and the future of the earth has never been more timely.
Sunday, October 12th, Dr. Helen Caldicott, founder of Physicians for Social Responsibility, will give an urgent message on "the Presidential campaign and the fate of the earth." For 30 years Dr. Caldicott has waged an international campaign to raise awareness about the medical hazards of the nuclear age. Dr. Caldicott’s free public appearance in Southern California is on Sunday, October 12th, at 2pm at First Congregational Church of Long Beach, 241 Cedar Avenue, at the corner of 3rd Street in downtown Long Beach.
