Mubarak Rashid - The Army Ranger that ends the film ARLINGTON WEST, passed away on Tuesday morning. ~ Rashid PRESENTE
Mubarak Rashid, The Army Ranger that ends the film ARLINGTON WEST, passed away on Tuesday morning.
Mubarak Rashid – 1940-2008 - PRESENTE
Rashid had been suffering for many years with the effects of Agent Orange from his time spent in Vietnam. This last year he was in a hospice as a charity patient, and the Veterans Hospitals had done nothing to help him.
The experience that he shared on the Arlington West Film has saved thousands of student’s lives, and made them conscious of the emotional and physical effects of war.
Rashid was cremated and will be buried at sea. The cost is minimal…$670.
His wife Doris has little money and no provisions as the widow of a U.S. Soldier.
We are asking our Peace Community to help.
Thank you very much!

Dear All,
We just received a call from Doris……Rashid, the Delta Force Ranger at the end of the film ARLINGTON WEST passed away around midnight.
When we visited him yesterday, his last words to us were, "I’m so thankful you’re my friends."
His powerful testimony at the crosses has changed countless thousands of children’s hearts and minds about war…as well as saving their lives.
Rashid struggled with the after effects of Agent Orange since his time in Viet Nam. He stopped eating about two weeks ago. He leaves behind his wife Doris of 22 years of marriage.
He always expressed his love and appreciation for the VETERANS FOR PEACE, found great solace in the crosses at the beach, and always said, "We need to comfort the men and women in uniform and their families, let them know we
love them."
Rashid will be cremated and buried at sea this week…
Rashid, Presente!
In Solidarity,
Peter Dudar & Sally Marr
