Friends of Justice and Solidarity, if you are not travelling to Fort Benning, GA this year, a wonderful group of students from the Claremont Colleges have organized a vigil the same weekend! Join us as we stand in solidarity with those gathered at the gates and across Latin America
While tens of thousands are gathering outside the gates of Fort Benning, Georgia to call an end to the atrocities perpetrated by the graduates of the School of the Americas (Western Hemispheric Institute for Security Cooperation), a vigil will be held on the grounds of the Claremont Colleges, organized by a group of students from the 5 Claremont Colleges.
There will be performers, a testimonial from a survivor of torture from El Salvador as well as information about the School of the Americas and how people can get involved to call for the school’s closure!
The evening will end with a solemn vigil and the litany of names in memory of all those who have suffered at the hands of the School of the Americas.
